Small Group Douro Valley Wine Tour
My husband and I were so glad we booked this tour with Cooltour Oporto. Including the driver, there were 8 of us total. We went to two wineries--one was a smaller family owned operation that focused on producing organic products and the other was a larger winery that focused on port wines. It was very informative to learn how the products were made and the history of wine in the Douro Valley. The river cruise was just the right amount of time for us (roughly 45 minutes). The lunch was tasty, especially the lime mousse. Last, but not least a big thank you to our tour guide/driver, Nuno. He navigated the narrow, winding roads with great skill while giving us historical insight into the Douro Valley, Porto, and Portugal. We never felt rushed and Nuno always offered a stop at a bathroom if needed. Overall, a very relaxing day with beautiful surroundings.

A perfect day out
This was a lovely, full day with wine, food and a boat ride. Our driver/guide was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The winery visits were excellent. At the Quinta da Fonte do Milho they provided a wonderful array of nibbles to accompany the lovely wines and olive oil (including some very nice gluten-free bread). At the Quinta Santa Eufemia we tasted beautiful port. The lunch was delicious and the boat ride relaxing amongst lovely scenery.
