Famous beach near Kolkata
Digha is a famous beach and seaside resort town in the state of West Bengal, India. It lies in Purba Medinipur district and at the northern end of the Bay of Bengal. It has a low gradient with a shallow sand beach and well connectivity through rail and road. Mandarboni beach is also very near to Digha.

Evergreen Digha
Lies in East Midnapore district and at the northern end of the Bay of Bengal Digha is a all season seaside tourist spot in the state of West Bengal, India. Be it a weekday or a weekend Digha is always crowded. It is one of the large and fast developing seaside resort village of West Bengal. It is almost 180 km from Kolkata Airport. Lot of stay options are there. The ambiance is calm in the early morning time but very crowded during the next part of the day. You can visit the famous mangrove region Bichitrapur from here. Add Chandaneshwar Temple in your itinerary.

Home away from Home
I always heard the complaint that Digha beach is too crowded. But I don't feel that way. I always find it lively. It's been more than ten times we went to the rocky beach of Bengal. I was in school I befriended the beach for the first time. And now with benches to seat for, the seaside of our own state has become more beautiful.
