A nossa viagem começa em Guimarães, muitas vezes aclamada como o berço de Portugal e reconhecida como Património Mundial da UNESCO. Exploraremos a atmosfera medieval da cidade, começando com uma visita ao impressionante Castelo de Guimarães do século X, crucial no início da história de Portugal. De seguida, visitaremos o majestoso Paço dos Duques de Bragança, símbolo da herança nobre de Portugal, e passearemos pelo pitoresco centro histórico, com as suas encantadoras ruas e praças medievais.
Depois de um delicioso almoço acompanhado por um vinho verde regional, o nosso passeio continua até Braga, conhecida como a cidade mais antiga de Portugal e capital religiosa. Braga tem uma história rica como a mais antiga sede episcopal e local de peregrinação, com maravilhas arquitectónicas que datam de há séculos. Passearemos pelo centro da cidade e visitaremos a Sé Catedral, que exibe uma notável arquitetura românica, gótica e barroca.
Antes de concluirmos o nosso passeio, exploraremos o icónico Santuário do Bom Jesus do Monte, Património Mundial da UNESCO, conhecido pela sua devoção espiritual e esplendor arquitetónico. Descubra os seus belos jardins e ambiente rural, bem como a majestosa escadaria barroca de 573 degraus, conhecida como a Via Sacra, que conduz a uma das igrejas mais fotografadas do mundo. Situado no cimo de uma colina, o Bom Jesus do Monte oferece uma vista panorâmica deslumbrante sobre os arredores de Braga.

An absolute must for your stay in Porto
Jose was fantastic, so kind and helpful and a great driver. We had a wonderful day. Beautiful restaurant for lunch and the vineyards were both great experiences, very knowledgeable and very generous with our tasting experience. Boat ride was a beautiful and peaceful interlude.

The trip was excellent. The quiet was also great. It was informative and a good mixture of history and present day information. Definitely a highlight of our time in Porto.

Douro Three Winery Tour - Book Now, Simply Amazing!
Cooltour Oporto exceeded our expectations for the Douro Wine Tasting Tour. We love wine and supporting small producers so when we were looking for a tour most of the other tours seemed very generic and were going to the same places. While we wanted to taste port we really wanted to try some other wines too and this tour did that. We went to 3 different small wineries and received amazing history and tastings. The first one had cats, history and excellent white, red and one port wine. Our excellent guide Rodrigo then whisked us off to the next winery driving through breathtaking scenery. He made stops at amazing viewpoints and gave us some more background about the Douro Valley. Our 2nd winery had a gorgeous tasting room that they recently completed with spectacular visuals of the history of their family and wine making. The wine tasting was beautifully set up and we enjoyed hearing about each wine. The final stop was up high with the most stunning views of the valley where we enjoyed a homemade lunch with way too much food, wine and a dessert (a heavenly creme brulée). Rodrigo then took us around the property to explain how port is made there. After the tour we sampled 4 different ports including a rose one which I didn’t even realize was possible for a port and even a vintage 2014 one. The staff at every winery was so lovely and welcoming it made the day so special. While you are not doing the river cruise here, honestly didn’t feel like we needed that at all. Hearing the history and tasting the love that goes into these wines was just absolutely unforgettable. Thank you Cooltour & Rodrigo, we will never forget this adventure and definitely made us want to come back in the future.
